Named for the notorious Joker actor, Heath Ledger, our boy is anything but serious. Ledger is the typical golden goofball with a propensity for sucking on people's arms. He is an easy going dog, gentle in nature with both children and the elderly. He doesn't have an aggressive bone in his body. He is excellent with other stable intact males, and lives with one full time at home. While Ledger adores field work, we unfortunately encountered a trainer who was extremely cruel to him, and set his training behind, resulting in him only having his seasoned titled as of now. As a testament to his temperament and drive, Ledger has come back from this horrible experience and still loves to play the game, and loves to meet strangers. His birdiness is unmatched by any dog I've ever met - he will retrieve frozen, rotten, or even pooped on ducks (there's a story there).

He's a hard-hitting, high drive dog who we hope will go far. He has excelled in agility, earning his OAJ and OA with placements for every leg.  We are actively pursing his AXJ and AX, as well other titles.  He has matured nicely with a thick, dark coat. He is deep in the chest, with nice rear angles. He has a smooth topline, correct bite, and kind expression. He weighs around 70-75lbs and stands approximately 23.75" tall.

Ledger is standing at stud to approved bitches. We do not stud to bitches without all GRCA recommended clearances, or to breeders who produce/support doodles.
